Rice Saves the Day!

After crashing my FPV twinstar into a tree and all the electronics getting soaked, I was in doubt as to which components would come back after letting them dry out. Click here to see this post for the first part in this series. I’m not really sure how long you are supposed to leave the components in the rice, this home-grown remedy doesn’t have any manual. I decided to use sealed mason jars to allow the rice to completely draw the moisture out of that environment, I figured it may work better than just putting the electronics in a bowl of rice, but I really have not way of confirming this. I can say that when I opened the jars they “popped” where if you just open and close the jars they don’t act like you have broken the seal. All of my electronics survived except the video transmitter, which may or may not have had anything to do with the moisture in the first place.
