LRF Competition- Free Flight Mock Up

Scotty Bouck is way ahead of me as we both go our own way with the design contest going on over at the Indoor and Micro section of RCGroups. While my ideas are still evolving on paper and in my head, Scotty has already built a free flight mock up to work out specifics. After coming up with a wing design he was happy with, Scott used a simple cruciform shape for the fuse and figured out his incidence and CG. The mockup was very slow and stable, and with a little more wing area than the proven Parkzone Vapor, it should be a good contender! Scotty’s wing idea worked out very nicely, he was able to produce a strong, lightweight wing with built in washout easily by keeping the leading edge of the airfoil uniform all the way to the wing tip.
