Laser Cut Simplicious Kits Are Now Available!
Posted on September 2, 2009 by aaronredbaron
Scotty Bouck has been working hard to make one of his favorite flying contraptions, Simplicious, into a laser cut kit. The all depron (light-weight sheet foam) model uses hollow construction techniques, and builds easily with only basic skills and tools. Scotty is also hard at work refining a more complicated 3D airplane, a bird look-alike, and a custom FPV platform, among a slew of other concepts. Simplicious originally was intended to be a simple way to test some of his unique construction techniques, but even the accidently asymmetrical prototype flew phenomenally well. It has a wide speed range and will make landing approaches with full up elevator without stalling once set up correctly (proper elevator travel must be used! Its NOT a 3D plane!). At speed, the model is nimble and tracks well. It penetrates in winds that ground many parkflyers. Simplicious is available from Scotty directly for $35 plus shipping. He is only taking orders via email at this point, and payments can be sent to him through Paypal. Scotty can be reached at gtrscottyrc@gmail.com
